On going for the two-point conversion
“Yeah, there's an analytical side, and I think that one was it's on the coach. I think my thinking in that situation is I want to know where we're at, right? So if we get it, we're a score down. If we don't, we know we're still two, and not play this thing out another drive while we're playing defensively. So just in my head, it was hey, let's know where we're at. So what we got to do with plenty of time left in the game to win this thing is really the thinking that went into it.”
On the way Mekhi Nelson’s and Jamal Rule’s running
“13 (Mekhi Nelson) ran hard too, (Isaiah) Mozee to 25 (Jamal Rule). I know Lamar Conard, our running back coach, knows his dad really well, and we recruited him. I thought he ran more physical than we expected. We knew he's a fast electric guy. I thought he did a better job running physically. Same with 13 (Mekhi Nelson), and then you know they got some size up front that we had to deal with, and we were trying to move and create some TFLs, and they caught us a couple times, but a good job by them establishing the run for sure.”
