Big Red Bowling travels to San Antonio for Third Tournament

The fifth-ranked Nebraska Bowling team embarks this weekend for their third tournament of the season, the Bulldog Classic hosted by No. 7 Louisiana Tech from Nov. 6-8. The event will be held at Lucky Strike San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas.

The Huskers are seeking their third-straight top-three finish after a third-place trophy in the Chelsea Gilliam Penguin Classic and second-place hardware in Destination Florida.

The Big Red look to improve upon their finish at the Bulldog Classic in 2025, when the team finished seventh out of 16 teams. In that tournament, the Huskers went 8-5, shooting a total pinfall of 10,196 for a 203.9 average. They were led by Desiree Buchert with 982 pins and Brenna Hartzler with 919 pins, both through five individual games.

This year, the Bulldog Classic once again features 16 teams, including nine of the top 25 programs in the country and four of the top five. Headlining the field is No. 2 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Wichita State, No. 4 Arkansas State, and the No. 5 Huskers.

Competition begins on Nov. 6 at 10:35 a.m. CT with five matches of five-game Baker, followed by five traditional matches on Nov. 7 beginning at 9:25 a.m. CT. Total pinfall from the first two days will determine seeding for bracket play on Nov. 8 which will consist of three best four-of-seven Baker matches beginning at 8:55 a.m. CT.
