The Big Ten announced its weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon and Nebraska’s own Addy Farman was crowned the Big Ten Diver of the Week.
Farman led a successful opening to her sophomore-year campaign in a dual with the Iowa State Cyclones. Taking the crown on the one-meter springboard, she notched a personal best score of 282.60. The sophomore replaced her score of 273.38 from the prior season’s dual against Kansas.
Her score against the Cyclones granted her an NCAA Zone D cut for the competition in March to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
On the three-meter springboard, Farman captured fourth with a score of 246.90.
At the 2025 Big Ten Championships, Farman earned a C Final finish on the one-meter board. Her score of 238.55 earned a 24th-place finish. She added a 30th-place finish on the platform board with a score of 196.45.
First-year head diving coach Ford McLiney exclaimed how Farman’s progress has been early in the season.
“Addy’s working hard and staying the course. Every day she shows up, she asks the right questions and steadily improves. Lately, we have been working to keep things simple and dive smart. That’s exactly what she delivered at the meet.”
Farman will be back in action at the triangular meet against the Omaha Mavericks and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at the H&K Pool in Omaha, Neb. on Oct. 17 at 12 pm (CT).
