Nebraska Releases 2027 Men's Gymnastics Schedule

LINCOLN, Neb.- The Nebraska men’s gymnastics team and head coach Chuck Chmelka announced their 2027 schedule. The Huskers will host four home meets.

The Big Red begins their season at Rocky Mountain Open in Colorado Springs. The meet will take place on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.

The team will then head to Indianola, Iowa, to face the Simpson Storm on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.

NU will host their first home meet of the season on Jan. 31 at 4 p.m., against Michigan. This is a joint meet with the Nebraska women’s gymnastics team. The women will be competing against Rutgers.

The Huskers will travel east and face Penn State in State College, Pa. The meet will take place on Feb. 6 at 3 p.m.

They will hit the road again in week five and face Illinois on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

The Big Red will return home on Feb. 20 to face off against Springfield and Simpson at 4 p.m.

Gymnasts who qualified at previous meets will compete at the annual USA Gymnastics Winter Cup on Feb. 26-28.

Nebraska will host another home meet against Oklahoma and the Arizona State Club Team on March 6 at 6 p.m.

The Huskers will end the regular season at home against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Competition will begin at 6 p.m. on March 19.

The Big Red will head back to State College, Pa, for Big Ten Championships. The team competition will be on April 2, and the individual finals will be on April 3.

Nebraska will cap off their season at the NCAA Championships in Norman, Oklahoma. Prelims will begin on April 16, and finals will be on April 17.

Nebraska welcomes back 15 gymnasts, including two All-Americans: Chase Mondi and Max Odden.

The Huskers also welcomed five new freshmen to the team. The freshman class consists of Ty Herzing, Gage Kalley, Cole Miller, Danny Sanjuanico and Alexander Niscoveanu. The Huskers look to make another strong push toward the NCAA Championships and a shot at the national title.
