Wisconsin trimmed the Nebraska lead to 24-23, forcing a timeout from the Big Red. Out of the timeout, Murray picked up a back-row kill to give the Huskers a 1-0 match lead.

Set 2: The beginning of the second set was back and forth, but Nebraska scored five in a row as part of a 10-1 run to grab hold of the momentum in the second set. The Huskers hit at a blistering .424 pace with 18 kills, while holding the Badgers to .053, to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Jackson closed the set with her 10th kill of the match.

Set 3: Murray’s 17th kill of the match gave Nebraska a slim 15-14 lead at the media timeout. Consecutive blocks from Manaia Ogbechie and Virginia Adriano stretched the Huskers’ lead to 19-16, and a kill from Murray put the Big Red ahead 20-17. The Badgers twice trimmed the lead to two, but after a Charlie Fuerbringer kill made it 22-20 Nebraska, the Huskers scored three straight points to end the match, punctuated by Murray’s 20th kill.
