Lincoln – A trio of Saturday marquee home games highlights Nebraska’s 2026-27 Big Ten Conference men’s basketball schedule announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Huskers, who went 15-5 in the Big Ten and tied for second in the conference standings last season, will open conference play by hosting three of their first four conference games at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The 20-game gauntlet begins on Wednesday, Dec. 2, when the Huskers host Ohio State at PBA. The following week, the Huskers head east for a matchup with Penn State on Tuesday, Dec. 8. That contest with the Nittany Lions is in the middle of a three-game stretch that includes games at Creighton and against Missouri in Kansas City.
The month of January opens with two of the biggest home matchups of the 2026-27 season, as the Huskers host Michigan State on Saturday, Jan. 2 before welcoming defending national champion Michigan to PBA on Tuesday, Jan. 5, marking the first time a defending national champion has come to Lincoln since 2009. Six of Nebraska’s nine games in January are against teams that reached at least the Sweet 16 in 2026. Following the two-game homestand, the Huskers make the trip west for matchups at Oregon (Jan. 10) and Washington (Jan. 13) before returning home for the first of two tilts against Iowa in a 15-day span. NU hosts the Hawkeyes on Saturday, Jan. 16. Nebraska then travels to Illinois (Jan. 19), hosts UCLA in a Friday night matchup (Jan. 22) and embarks on a two-game road swing to Purdue (Jan. 26) and Iowa (Jan. 30).
Nebraska opens February by hosting three of its first four games at home, including visits from Indiana (Feb. 6), Penn State (Feb. 12) and Rutgers (Feb. 16). Nebraska’s lone road trip in the first half of the month is to Maryland on Feb. 9. NU closes February with trips to Michigan State (Feb. 20) and Northwestern (Feb. 27) sandwiched around a home matchup with USC (Feb. 23). The Huskers will close Big Ten play with a trip to Wisconsin on March 3 before returning to PBA to host Minnesota on March 7. The 30th Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament will be played March 9-14 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Start times and network designations for all Big Ten and non-conference games are expected to be announced by early October.
Season tickets for the 2026-27 season are sold out, but a limited number of 300 Level tickets will be for sale for all of Nebraska’s home games this season. Tickets for the Oct. 9 exhibition game against Saint Louis will go on sale on Thursday, Sept. 24, priced at $20 per ticket (plus fees) while single-game tickets for regular-season contests go on sale on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
