Rakita Clinches Gold at Canadian Championships

Sam Rakita, who finished up his freshman season at Nebraska in April, claimed first at the 2026 Canadian Championships in the all-around in the 19-20 SR Division on May 27, 2026. He had an all-around score of 75.964.

During the 19-20 SR Division event finals on May 29, 2026, he won the rings with a score of 13.166. He was runner-up on both parallel bars and high bar. Rakita finished up with a parallel bars score of 12.566 and a 13.033 on high bar. He had a sixth-place finish on pommel horse with a score of 11.166. 

Graduate Yanni Chronopoulos also competed at Canadian Championships in the 21+ SR Division. During the all-around competition, Chronopoulos ended in seventh with a 75.998. At event finals, he finished fifth on parallel bars with a 12.866 and seventh on rings with a 12.533.
