Softball Lands Four on Academic All-America Teams

Written byPaige Trutna

The Nebraska softball team placed four student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America teams, the organization announced on Tuesday. Hannah Camenzind, Jordy Frahm and Kacie Hoffmann were all named to the second team, while Jesse Farrell earned a spot on the third team.

The four honorees is a program record and Nebraska now has 36 Academic All-America selections in program history, a total which ranks third nationally and first in the Big Ten.

The quartet of Camenzind, Farrell, Frahm and Hoffmann helped lead the Huskers to their eighth overall NCAA Women’s College World Series appearance and first since 2013. They also helped NU to its first win at the WCWS since 2002.

Camenzind, an NFCA All-Mountain Region first-team member, logged a .376 average with 70 hits, 42 runs and 57 RBI in 2026. She slugged at .634 and totaled an on-base percentage of .471 for an OPS of 1.105. In the classroom, she earned her degree in child, youth and family studies.

Frahm has already been named the Honda Award for Softball winner, the USA Softball Player of the Year and the NFCA Player of the Year. She is a four-time First-Team All-American and was this season’s Rawlings Gold Glove pitcher. The two-way star was also the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and on the NFCA All-Mountain Region and All-Big Ten first teams.

In the circle, Frahm went 21-6 with a 1.37 ERA and racked up a nation-leading 12 saves, which tied a Big Ten single-season record and was Nebraska single-season record. She threw 18 complete games and struck out 251 batters while walking only 33. Offensively, Frahm posted a .403 batting average with 79 hits, 60 runs and 51 RBI. She added 11 doubles, four triples and 20 homers for a .860 slugging percentage. Frahm earned her degree in child, youth and family studies last spring.

Hoffmann hit .347 in 2026 with eight doubles and four homers. She added 34 RBI on 59 hits. Hoffmann was on the NFCA All-Mountain Region and All-Big Ten second teams. She studied child, youth and family studies in undergrad and strategic marketing in grad school.

All-Region First-Team selection Farrell knocked 17 home runs, the second most on the team, along with 13 doubles for the Huskers. She added 52 hits and a .297 batting average while scoring 42 runs and batting in 45. Farrell is majoring in psychology.
