Pluhowsky defeats Bond to claim seventh career title

Rochester, N.Y. - Two former Huskers faced off for the PWBA BowlTV Open title Saturday night, with Shannon Pluhowsky defeated Julia Bond 268-205 in the championship match. 

The victory was Pluhowsky's seventh career PWBA title and her third at ABC Gates Bowl since 2025. She earned the top seed for the stepladder finals after notching nine wins over 12 games of match play, with Bond claiming the No. 3 seed.

Pluhowsky knocked down 6,226 pins total while going 10-3, and Bond notched a total of 6,213 pins with a 10-5 record.
