Huskers Add Three More National Qualifiers on Day 3

The Nebraska track and field team saw three more athletes punch their tickets to Eugene, Ore., on the third day of the NCAA West Regional in Fayetteville, Ark. 

James Ledbetter continued his climb in the record books, running 50.00 in the men’s 400mH to qualify for NCAA Outdoor Nationals and move into fifth in school history. 

Hannes Fahl cut nearly a second off his previous best, running 1:46.85 in the men’s 800m to slot himself into fourth in Husker history and move onto nationals. 

Aleksandr Gerasimov was the first Husker to qualify on Friday after clearing 2.17m (7-1 ½) in the men’s high jump to secure his spot at nationals. 

The Big Red return tomorrow for the final day of regional action with Amelia Flynt and Donna Douglas competing in the women’s discus to begin the day at 1 p.m. (CT). All events will be streamed on ESPN+.
