Three Nebraska softball players earned Softball America Midseason Position rankings, the organization announced this week.
Jordy Frahm was named the No. 1 two-way player, while Alexis Jensen was the No. 3 two-way player and Hannah Camenzind was the No. 29 outfielder.
Frahm is batting .431 this season with 18 extra-base hits, including 13 home runs. She has 44 hits and has scored 32 runs. In the circle, the senior from Papillion, Neb., has a conference-leading 1.70 ERA and an 8-4 record. She has struck out 122 batters and walked 19.
Jensen, the reigning Freshman of the Week for Softball America, D1 Softball and Softball on Sports Illustrated, is 14-2 in the circle with five wins over teams that are currently ranked. Jensen has 132 strikeouts with only 17 walks this season for a strikeout-to-walk ratio that ranks fifth in the nation.
Camenzind has started every game for the Big Red and is hitting .376 with 31 RBIs, the second-highest on the team. She has 10 doubles and six home runs, along with an on-base percentage of .452.
