SCM Competition Continues for Huskers

On the second day of short-course meter action for the Huskers, Beatrix Tanko and Giulia Marchi put up strong showings for their home countries. 

Beatrix Tanko and her team from Újpesti Torna Egylet finished sixth in the 4x100m mixed medley relay at the 2026 Hungarian Gambling Company National Championships. Their time of 3:59.05 displays a drop of 4.12 seconds from the team’s 4:03.57 in the prelims. 

Tanko swam the third leg in the prelims in 59.42. The 100m fly was converted to a 59.15 in the finals for the Budapest, Hungary native. 

Giulia Marchi competed for Italy in the 200m free on Wednesday, where she produced a prelim time of 2:03.97 for a heat placing of fifth. 

Marchi will complete her overseas competition on Thursday in the 100m free.
