Jensen Earns Big Ten Freshman of the Week Honors

Alexis Jensen was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after her solid two-way performance in Nebraska softball’s sweep of Wisconsin last weekend.

In the circle, Jensen went 2-0 with a shutout. She totaled a 0.64 ERA and struck out 13 batters while only walking four across 11.0 innings. Her opponents had a batting average of .083 and she allowed only three hits.

Offensively, she hit .333 with three hits, all of which came for extra bases. She had two doubles on Sunday. Jensen added three RBIs and a .889 slugging percentage. 

This is Jensen’s first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor. She was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week on March 16.
