The No. 8 Nebraska softball team held Wisconsin to two hits and grabbed a 5-0 shutout victory over the Badgers on Friday night in Madison, Wisc.
With the win, the Huskers improved to 31-6 this season with a 12-1 mark in Big Ten play.
Combined with the Husker defense, freshman Alexis Jensen held the Badger offense, which came into the game averaging 6.1 runs per game, to no runs and only two hits. Wisconsin was also 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Jensen (16-2) earned the win in the circle after tossing her fourth complete game of the year with 10 strikeouts.
Jordy Frahm knocked a triple and a double for the Big Red, while Kacie Hoffmann added two RBIs and Jesse Farrell hit a solo home run. Hannah Camenzind, Ava Kuszak and Lauren Camenzind contributed a hit apiece.
NU opened the scoring in the top of the third, as Samantha Bland walked, went to second on a L. Camenzind sacrifice bunt and scored on Frahm’s fourth triple of the season.
Jesse Farrell made the score 2-0 on a solo shot in the top of the fourth.
In the top of the sixth, H. Camenzind walked and Kuszak singled to lead off the inning. The two went to second and third on a Jensen groundout before a Hoffmann two-RBI single scored them and extended the NU lead to 4-0.
Nebraska is set to take on Wisconsin again tomorrow, April 11 at 12 p.m. in Madison, Wisc. The game will be streamed on B1G+ and can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network.

- Today was Nebraska’s 10th shutout of the season.
- Jordy Frahm is now tied for 10th on Nebraska’s single-season triples chart with four so far this year. She has tripled in three of her last eight at-bats dating back to last Sunday.
- The Huskers improved to 12-1 in the Big Ten, their best start through 13 games since starting 13-0 in 2022.
- NU is now 8-1 in true road games this year.
