The Big Ten Conference announced senior Asher Cohen as Co-Specialist of the Week following his impressive performance in Nebraska’s meet against Michigan. He shared the honor with Charlie Larson of Michigan. Fred Richard of Michigan was named Gymnast of the Week, while Chase Pappas of Michigan earned Freshman of the Week honors.
In the meet, Cohen captured the rings title with a career-high score of 14.70, highlighted by a stuck landing. The score is tied for the highest score on rings this season. He also competed on parallel bars, tying for fourth place with a 13.65. Cohen is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation on rings and No. 9 on parallel bars, and he is a Nissen-Emery Award finalist.
Cohen also earned CGA specialist of the week honors last week. This marks his first Big Ten weekly award.
