Huskers Look to Postseason at Big Ten Championships

The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (7-8, 3-6 Big Ten) will travel to Champaign, Ill., to take part in the Big Ten Championships on Friday, March 20. The Huskers will compete in the first session of the championships, which starts at 6:00 p.m. (CT) at the State Farm Center and will be streamed on the Big Ten Network.

Last Time Out
NU concluded the regular season at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Friday, March 13, finishing second out of three teams. The Huskers notched a 195.650 to defeat No. 22 North Carolina, but fell to No. 17 Penn State.

Isabel Sikon notched a 39.075 to take second in the all-around. Whitney Jencks tied for second on bars after tying a career-high 9.925 on the event.

No. 19 Penn State had the highest mark with a 196.875, followed by NU, while No. 18 UNC finished with a 194.550. This was the second Top-20 victory by Nebraska this season.

Scouting the Competition
The Huskers will take on Illinois, Washington and Rutgers. NU defeated Illinois and Washington earlier this season in separate contests and has not competed against Rutgers.
