Jencks Named Second Team All-Big Ten

Whitney Jencks was given Second Team All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.

This marks the second All-Big Ten honor of her career after Jencks received Second Team recognition in 2025. Additionally, Katelyn Barth was the Huskers’ sportsmanship honoree. 

So far this season, Jencks has been a staple in the Huskers’ lineup this season, setting four new career highs. The junior from Madison, S.D., has grabbed 11 event titles in the 2026 campaign – one on vault, three on bars, one on beam, one on floor and five in the all-around. This season, she has set career highs of 9.900 on vault, 9.925 on bars, 9.850 on beam and a 39.350 on all-around.

NU will travel to Champaign, Ill., to compete in the Big Ten Championships this Friday, March 20. The Huskers are one of four teams in Session I of the championships, which will start at 6 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on the Big Ten Network.
