After the three-day diving competition in College Station, Texas, the Nebraska swimming and diving team will be sending two divers to the 2026 NCAA Championships. Abby Baxter and Kelsey Clairmont will be representing the divers in Atlanta, Georgia, at the 2026 NCAA Championships, March 18-21.
Qualifying first was Baxter on the springboards. The junior from Coppell, Texas, amassed a total score of 585.05 on the one-meter board with a sixth-place finish after her prelim performance of 275.95. The next day, Baxter took 326.75 in the prelim round on the three-meter board. She ended with a sixth-place finishing score of 668.85 to clinch her third career qualification.
Baxter competed on both springboards at the conference championships in the C finals. Her one-meter performance gave her a tie for 18th place with 247.10, while her 264.35 gave the third-year diver 17th place.
To end her collegiate career, Clairmont earned a qualifying score of 513.25, placing seventh in the finals. She added to her prelim score of 254.55 to qualify for her third NCAA Championships.
At the 2026 Big Ten Championships, Clairmont clinched a B final finish of ninth place on the platform dive with a score of 263.35 and has accumulated 11 top-five finishes over the 2025-26 season.
Baxter and Clairmont will join dominant Big Red swimmers Gena Jorgenson and Beatrix Tanko, who will compete on the national stage across ESPN+.
