The College Gymnastics Association announced Tuesday that junior Max Odden has been named Co-Gymnast of the Week. He shares the honor with Peyton Cramer of Springfield College and Luke Esparo of Penn State.
Odden earned the award following an impressive performance in a dual meet against Ohio State. Although Nebraska fell short in the team competition, Odden claimed the high bar title and set a career high on floor exercise. This marks the first time Odden has received the weekly conference honor.
Against the Buckeyes, Odden won the high bar with a score of 13.80. He notched a 13.85 on the floor and added a 12.75 on the rings.
The junior captain has four career individual titles on high bar and has competed in the event at two NCAA finals. A former Big Ten Freshman of the Week during the 2024 season, Odden was selected as a team captain this year for his leadership and consistency.
