Huskers Add Paradis as Assistant Coach

Written byJeff Griesch

Nebraska women's golf head coach Breanne Hall announced the hiring of assistant coach Lory Paradis on Monday, Jan. 5.

Paradis, who was a team captain as a player for Hall at Illinois State last season, served as a graduate assistant coach for the Redbirds during the recently completed 2025 fall season.

"I am excited to welcome Lory Paradis to our staff as our assistant golf coach," Hall said. "Lory played for me at Illinois State, where she quickly emerged as a leader within our program. She consistently demonstrated a strong competitive drive, an outstanding work ethic, and a high level of knowledge for the game. Lory is passionate about player development and understands what it takes to compete at a high level, both on and off the course. I am confident she will make an immediate and positive impact on the development of our student-athletes."

A PGA of Canada Golf Professional, Paradis spent her first four college seasons as a golfer at Fresno State before helping Illinois State capture the Missouri Valley Conference title as a first-year graduate student in 2024-25. Paradis expects to earn her master's degree in the psychology of sport and physical activity in May 2026.

"I'm truly honored to join the University of Nebraska as the assistant women's golf coach," Paradis said. "The opportunity to work with Coach Hall is a great privilege. She brings so much knowledge and great leadership to the program. I am thrilled to work alongside her.  I am also excited to get to work with such talented student-athletes and contribute to their success both on and off the course."

Paradis was an apprentice teaching professional at Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club in the summer of 2025 and previously served as a freshman coach at Foisy Golf Academie in 2023-24.

Nebraska opens its 2026 spring season at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Jan. 25-27.
