Nebraska track and field concluded the first day of competition at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational with three new personal bests and two top ten marks in school history.
Ali Bainbridge moved into third in school history in the women’s 3000m, running 9:16.55, earning a fifth-place finish.
Xavier Bogan jumped a personal best 7.75m (25-5 ¼) in the men’s long jump, finishing in second. Kavian Kerr finished in seventh with a mark of 7.15m (23-5 ½).
In his first collegiate 800m, Shadrack Chilia ran 1:49.39 to claim a second-place finish and move into eighth in school history. Gabe Nash clocked a season best, 1:49.60, finishing third.
Sydney Drevlow was the first Husker to step on the track on Friday, running a personal best, 2:10.83, to finish eighth.
The Huskers continue action tomorrow with events starting at 10:30 a.m.
