Huskers Look to Conference Meeting Against No. 19 Buckeyes

The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) will host No. 19 Ohio State (2-1, 2-0 Big Ten) on Saturday, Jan. 31. The meet is slated to start at 3 p.m. (CT) at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and will be streamed on B1G+.

This matchup marks the 44th time that Nebraska and the Buckeyes have met. The last time the two teams faced off was last season at Big Fours, where NU grabbed a 196.675-196.650 victory.

Last Time Out
NU knocked off No. 14 Minnesota 195.600-195.075 in a narrow conference matchup . NU athletes recorded six career highs in the competition.

Isabel Sikon notched a 39.000 in the all-around to earn her first individual title of the season. Nya Kraus (9.875) also claimed the beam title to mark her first individual title of her career.

Scouting the Competition
Ohio State is ranked No. 19 in the Road to Nationals standings, with a highest team score of 196.250 on the season. The Buckeyes have conference wins over Illinois and Rutgers, with a loss to No. 8 Georgia in the season opener.

Tory Vetter led the team in its most recent meet against Illinois, earning a 39.350 in the all-around. Vetter notched team highs on bars (9.875) and beam (9.875). JJ Coleman and Baylie Belman each earned a share of the floor title with a 9.900.
