Nebraska Back on the Road for Bulldog Classic

Fort Worth, Tex. - The No. 2 ranked Nebraska bowling team is set to travel to the Lone Star State this week for the Bulldog Classic, hosted by No. 9 Louisiana Tech from Nov. 7-9 at City View Lanes in Fort Worth, Tex.

The Huskers are coming off a fifth place finish at Destination Orlando where they went 9-4 with a 13,487 total pinfall and 198.33 average. Jillian Martin was the standout performer in that tournament, knocking down 1,105 pins in total for an average of 221. The strong weekend landed Martin All-Tournament Team honors.

NU joins a field of 15 other teams, their smallest tournament of the season thus far, sharing the lanes with nine other top-25 teams including No. 1 Jacksonville State, No. 3 Vanderbilt and No. 5 Wichita State.

Nebraska begins play on Nov. 7 at 10:25 a.m. (CT) with five matches of five-game baker, followed by five traditional matches on Nov. 8 starting at 10:15 a.m. (CT). The results of the first two days will determine seeding for the best 4-of-7 baker bracket play matches on Nov. 9 at 8:55 a.m. (CT).
