Nebraska volleyball seniors Taylor Landfair and Allie Sczech were selected in the 2025 Major League Volleyball Draft on Monday.
Landfair was the No. 28 overall pick by the Indy Ignite. One pick later at No. 29, Sczech was selected by the Omaha Supernovas.
Landfair, a 6-5 outside hitter, averages 2.11 kills per set and 0.55 blocks per set for the Huskers and is hitting .322 on the season. In Big Ten matches, Landfair is hitting .362.
A Plainfield, Ill., native, Landfair had a season-high 12 kills with five digs in a 3-2 win at No. 18 Creighton on Sept. 16. She had 11 kills and hit .550 at No. 22 Minnesota on Nov. 8. Landfair was an AVCA All-American and the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2022 at Minnesota.
Sczech has been extremely effective in limited playing time for the Big Red this season. A transfer from Baylor, the 6-4 opposite hitter has played in 26 sets and averages 1.65 kills per set and 0.58 blocks per set while hitting .394. Sczech's best match so far this season was against No. 6 Stanford on Aug. 24, when she put up 12 kills on .400 hitting.
A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Sczech was a two-time All-Big 12 Second Team selection at Baylor before coming to Nebraska.
