Coach Pablo Morales has announced the addition of seven talented newcomers to the 2026-27 Nebraska swimming and diving roster.
Meredith Peyton (Nebraska) and Mylie Bradley (Oklahoma) join international swimmers Dominika Borkowska (Poland), Georgia Holgate (Great Britain), Jana Härtel (Germany) and Majdouline Zahir (Turkey) in the newest collection of Huskers.
Peyton stays home to help the Huskers after setting the state record in the 100 butterfly (54.27). A high school senior from Valley, Neb., Peyton is a four-time Nebraska state champion who fueled Omaha Marian to state team titles in 2023 and 2025, along with a runner-up finish in 2024.
Recently, Peyton produced three lifetime-best times in the 100 back (56.34), 200 back (2:02.27) and the 200 IM (2:04.13) at the IA IFLY A3 Midwest Challenge meet. The USA Swimming Futures Championships in Madison, Wis., allowed Peyton to notch a lifetime long course best in the 100 fly (1:03.11) and season best in the 200 backstroke with a 2:25.13.
Bradley highlighted her prep performances at Jenks High School through her contributions in the relay events at the 2025 Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association 6A State Championships in February, where she swam a 26.73 split in the 200 medley relay and anchored the 400 free relay with a 52.83 split, winning the state title in both events. At the state meet, Bradley added a second-place individual finish in the 100 breast (1:05.32) and a third-place finish in the 200 IM (2:06.88). She wrapped up her junior year at Speedo Sectionals – Columbia a month later, where she added career bests in four events, including a 55.04 in the 100 back.
A breaststroke specialist, Borkowska adds more talent to the Big Red newcomers. Borkowska claimed a trio of silver medals at the Mistrzostwa Polski Juniorów meet in mid-July, including a lifetime-best performance in the 100 breast (1:11.29). She added a season-best in the 50 breast (32.53) and 200 breast (2:35.60). The native of Olkusz, Poland, established a career-best 2:34.81 in the 200 breast at the Arena Grand Prix Puchar Polski meet in March 2024.
Holgate continues a recent string of talented Husker swimmers and divers from Great Britain. At the 2024 British National Championships, Holgate logged career-best times in the 100 fly (1:01.10), 200 fly (2:17.60), and 100 back (1:02.40) in short-course meters. Holgate, who qualified for British Nationals in the fly, back and freestyle, took silver in the 50-meter backstroke and bronze in the 100-meter freestyle.
Härtel brings impressive times with her to Nebraska in the distance freestyle events. At the 2025 German National Championships, Härtel competed in the 800 free (9:03.8) and the 400 free (4:28.41). She also recorded a career best in the 1,500 free with a 17:08.25, before dropping nearly eight seconds off that time in June (17:00.42).
Currently training with the ENKA Sports Club in Istanbul, Turkey, Zahir is the most recent addition to Nebraska's signing class. Another excellent distance freestyler, Zahir produced a handful of top-five performances at the Turkish Long Course National Team Selection meet (LCM) last December. She worked her way to a 1,500-meter free personal best (17:03.54) to earn silver at The Turkish National Team Trials in May. A few weeks later, at the Turkish National Team Selection Meet, she posted an 800-meter time of 8:53.43.
Out of Georgetown, Texas, Eve Shrader will join the diving team in the 2026-27 season. The UIL 4A State Champion will join fellow Texan, Abby Baxter, with notable finishes on the one-meter board. At the state championship meet in mid-February, Shrader collected 379.05 points and a state title to highlight her high school career.
