The No. 2 Nebraska wrestling team will compete at the National Duals in Tulsa, Okla. and will face No. 8 Lehigh in the opening round with bouts set to begin at 11 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Fans can watch all duals live from the BOK Center on FloWrestling with the championship final airing on ESPNU at 6 p.m. (CT) on Sunday, Nov. 16.
Nebraska and Lehigh are tied in the all-time series at 4-4. Most recently, Nebraska defeated the Mountain Hawks in November 2015, 24-6, at the Northeast Duals. Between the two teams, there are six ranked potential matchups – the ones to look out for are at 133 (No. 11 Jacob Van Dee vs No. 3 Ryan Crookham) and 165 (No. 16 LJ Araujo vs No. 8 Max Brignola). The winner of the Nebraska-Lehigh dual will face the winner of Arizona State-Michigan.
With a total purse of over 1 million dollars, the winning team will earn a $200,000 grand prize. Both second- and third-place teams will earn $150,000 with prize money extending through eighth place. Takedown bonuses will be awarded during both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. matchups of the opening round.
Eight of the top 10 teams of NWCA coaches poll will be in action with all 16 teams either ranked or receiving votes. There are six NCAA individual champions and six wrestlers competing that are currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in their respective weight classes. Thirty one wrestlers are ranked in the top five.
