Huskers Host Abbott Blood Drive on Friday, Nov. 14

The University of Nebraska is once again joining forces with Abbott and the Big Ten Conference for the We Give Blood challenge—a national campaign to combat critical blood shortages and encourage more young people to become blood donors.

The winning school with the most blood donations from students, alumni or fans across the country will be announced at the Discover Big Ten Championship Game on December 6 in Indianapolis. If Nebraska wins, the University will be awarded a $1 million prize to advance student or community health from Abbott.

Nebraska's blood drive is set for Friday, November 14 at Memorial Stadium, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CT). Attendees can enter through the West Stadium, and donations will take place on the third floor.

To participate in the competition, donate blood anywhere – including on campus on Nov. 14 – and visit BigTen.Org/Abbott/Submit to upload proof of donation and select Nebraska to have your donation count for our school.
