Huskers Team with Blue Star Mothers on Hoops for Troops Night

The Nebraska men’s basketball program has partnered with Blue Star Mothers to collect donations prior to Tuesday’s Veterans Day game against Maryland-Eastern Shore. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. 

Drop-off stations are available in both the North and South lobbies at Pinnacle Bank Arena along with a card-writing station to send a note to the troops. Some of the non-perishable items that Blue Star Mothers are looking to collect on Tuesday include:

• Starkist Tuna Creations packets or pouches
• Propel or Gatorade powder packets
• Microwave popcorn
• Kraft Mac & Cheese easy cups
• Jif peanut butter to-go pouches
• Instant oatmeal cups

All fans that bring in donations will be entered to win an autographed Fred Hoiberg basketball.
