Huskers Featured Early, Often on Big Ten TV Schedule

Written byJeff Griesch

Lincoln - The Nebraska women's basketball team learned it will play in big environments early and often under the lights of television cameras during the 2025-26 season, when the Big Ten Conference announced its network TV schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The league's television announcement, which came one day ahead of the Big Ten Women's Basketball Media Day in Chicago, includes 11 featured television games on the FOX family of networks for the Big Red. All 11 games will come against 2025 postseason teams, including nine against fellow NCAA Tournament foes.

Nebraska's 11 TV appearances include nine games on BTN, one on FS1 and a special Presidents' Day showcase on FOX national TV against Iowa in Lincoln. Five of NU's televised games will come inside Pinnacle Bank Arena, while five will feature true Big Ten road games and one more will come at a neutral site.

Season tickets and Starting 5 Mini-Plan packages for Nebraska women's basketball are on sale now through the Athletic Ticket Office at Huskers.com. Husker women's basketball has ranked among the top 25 nationally in attendance for 15 consecutive years, and Nebraska has earned NCAA Tournament appearances in three of the past four seasons under Head Coach Amy Williams.

The Huskers, who are hunting for their third straight NCAA Tournament bid, will make their first television appearance of the season when they square off with Creighton on FS1 on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. (CT) at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Always a marquee game on Nebraska's non-conference schedule, the Huskers and Jays will take center stage nationally in a game between 2025 NCAA qualifiers.

Four days later, Nebraska will be back on TV when they travel to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., for a neutral-site battle with North Dakota State on the Big Ten Network. Tip-off with the Bison, who won 21 games a year ago while advancing to the WNIT Great 8, is set for Sunday, Nov. 16 at Noon (CT) on BTN.

After the back-to-back early season TV appearances in mid-November, the Huskers return to BTN for a New Year's Day showdown at Iowa. Tip-off at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City is set for 1 p.m. (CT).

The game at Iowa will be the first of four BTN appearances for the Big Red in January, continuing with a home battle with UCLA on Sunday, Jan. 11. Tip-off with the Bruins, who advanced to the 2025 NCAA Women's Final Four, is set for 6 p.m. (CT) in a special Sunday prime-time clash in Lincoln.

The Huskers will be back on BTN just four days later for a road meeting at Michigan State on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. (CT) in East Lansing.

Nebraska returns to Pinnacle Bank Arena to face 2025 NCAA qualifier Illinois on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. (CT) in another game televised by the Big Ten Network.

The Big Red's February schedule will be among the most challenging in school history with eight straight games against 2025 postseason qualifiers, beginning with a road contest at 2025 NCAA qualifier Ohio State that will be televised live by BTN on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. (CT).

Nebraska returns to BTN for back-to-back games against 2025 NCAA Sweet Sixteen participant Maryland on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. (CT), before a road game at 2025 WBIT champion Minnesota on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. (CT) in Minneapolis.

The Huskers then return home for a third consecutive televised game, this time against Iowa as part of a special Presidents' Day showcase on FOX. The rematch between the Big Red and Hawkeyes at Pinnacle Bank Arena will tip at 11 a.m. (CT) on Monday, Feb. 16.

Nebraska returns to the road for its final regular-season TV appearance when the Huskers take on Washington on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. (CT) in Seattle. The game with the 2025 NCAA Tournament-qualifying Huskies will be televised by the Big Ten Network.
