Huskers Open Season at Navy Classic

No. 2 Nebraska wrestling team will open the 2025-26 season on the road this Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Navy Classic with duals beginning at 9 a.m. (CT).

The Huskers are looking to defend their Navy Classic title for the fourth season in a row. Four Huskers claimed individual titles last year to put Nebraska on top with 150 points. Ten of the 14 competing Huskers placed. Brock Hardy (141), Antrell Taylor (157), Silas Allred (184) and Christopher Minto (165) all return to the tournament seeking back-to-back individual titles.

Sunday’s tournament will mark the Huskers’ first competition since Nebraska’s historic 2024-25 season. The Big Red crowned two NCAA champions in Antrell Taylor (157) and Ridge Lovett (149) and two Big Ten champions in Brock Hardy (141) and Ridge Lovett (149) – both NU’s Big Ten and NCAA showings ended in team runner-up titles and program-high points.

Six of last season’s All-Americans return, along with 22 letterwinners and six NCAA qualifiers, as the Huskers look to continue last season’s momentum.

Live scoring and brackets will be available on FloArena. The tournament, held at the Wesley A. Brown Field House is expected to finish around 5 p.m. (CT).

The Big Red is one of eight teams at this year’s Navy Classic, competing among Navy, Binghamton, Bucknell, Drexel, George Mason and Pittsburgh.
