Martin, Bond and Pluhowsky to represent Team USA in Hong Kong
A trio of decorated Huskers have been selected to don the red, white and blue of Team USA at the 2025 International Bowling Federation World Championships, which will take place at Top Bowl, Kai Tak Sports Park in Kowloon, Hong Kong, China, from Nov. 24-Dec. 5, 2025.
The reigning NTCA Player of the Year, Jillian Martin, current Husker Bowling assistant coach Julia Bond, and former Husker Shannon Pluhowsky will join three other American women to bowl for Team USA.
Official practice sessions and the tournament's opening ceremony will take place on Nov. 24, kicking off 12 straight days of bowling action in Hong Kong. The first event of the 2025 IBF World Championships will be singles from Nov. 25-27, followed by the doubles event from Nov. 28-30. The final two events will be trios and team, taking place Dec. 1-5. The 2025 IBF World Championships will conclude with the Victory Banquet on the evening of Dec. 5.
