Pluhowsky Claims PWBA Tour Championship

Gates, New York - Former Nebraska bowler Shannon Pluhowsky claimed the 2025 PWBA Tour Championship after defeating Verity Crawley, 235-167, at ABC Gates Bowl on Tuesday evening. 

The Husker legend found herself in 31st place heading into Tour Championship week with the top-24 in points and title winners heading to the Tour Championship. With a seventh-place finish at the Rochester Open and a win at the Pepsi Open, Pluhowsky was seeded 13th. 

Pluhowsky qualified as the top seed after 24 games of match play. Crawley qualified as the second seed and defeated Stephanie Zavala in the semifinals to set up a championship match between herself and Pluhowsky. Pluhowsky claimed the title, defeating Crawley 235-167. 

Pluhowsky previously became PWBA Hall of Fame-eligible after winning her fifth title on Saturday, August 9th. Adding another PWBA Tour Championship to her collection, Pluhowsky earned her third major and sixth overall title.
