Reagan Raabe, Lauryn Anglim and Sadie Waite were all named Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch, the conference announced on Monday.
Raabe, a midfielder and forward, makes her return in 2025 after being injured during both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. She was a member of the All-Big Ten third team in 2021 and 2022. The graduate student has started 43 games in her career and amassed 10 goals and eight assists for a total of 28 points. She has also recorded 81 shots. Raabe scored the Huskers’ only goal of exhibition play, as she netted the ball at minute 67:00 against Colorado State.
Defender Anglim has been consistently in the NU lineup during her three years with the Huskers, starting 61 games. She has scored three goals in her career and tallied 14 assists. Anglim was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2022.
A U20 World Cup Team Canada Member in 2024, Waite has started 50 games for the Big Red and played in 55. She has logged 20 points with seven goals and six assists. Waite has taken 67 shots for NU, including 22 on goal.
The Big Ten Conference also released its soccer preseason poll, and NU was tabbed No. 12.
The Huskers open their regular season against Southern Indiana at 7:05 p.m. (CT) on Thursday, Aug. 14 at Barbara Hibner Stadium. The game will be streamed on B1G+ and fans can purchase tickets at huskers.com/tickets.
