Fourteen members of the Nebraska softball team were named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, the conference announced Wednesday.
Abbie Squier earned the award for the fourth time in her career, while Ava Bredwell and Mckinley Malecha grabbed their third honors. Bella Bacon, Katelyn Caneda, Alina Felix, Ava Kuszak, Talia Tokheim and Haidyn Warner were recognized for the second time and Jordyn Bahl, Samantha Bland, Emmerson Cope, Caitlin Olensky and Malia Thoms earned their first Academic All-Big Ten honors.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
