A Deerfield Beach, Florida, native, Colonel Vince Lindenmeyer served as the POW/MIA Chair Sentinel for on August 31, 2024 for the Husker Football game against UTEP.
Lindenmeyer dedicated 26 years of service, including tours in Korea, Egypt, Qatar and Iraq, earning the bronze star medal during operation Iraqi Freedom. His wife, Cynthia, served for 14 years in the US Army.
In 2012, Colonel Lindenmeyer and his family relocated to Nebraska, where he served at Offutt Air Force Base as Battle Watch Commander. After a decade of living in Nebraska, Colonel Lindemeyer's son, Luke, committed to play football for your Nebraska Huskers and is currently a sophomore tight end.
