Sadie Waite Selected for FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2024

Husker Soccer’s Sadie Waite was selected for the Canadian Women’s Under-20 roster on March 27 and will now compete at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Colombia 2024 as Team Canada announced its roster on Monday, August 19. 

Canada opens the tournament on Saturday, August 31 and will face France, Brazil and Fiji in Group B. 

Waite was a mainstay in the Husker lineup last season as she started all 24 games and amassed 1,950 minutes on the season, while scoring four goals and tallying five assists. Waite totaled 17 points, good for fifth on the team, and added 32 shots (13 shots on goal). She tallied her first career brace in the Huskers’ NCAA First Round victory over SDSU, as she helped NU to its program-best third-trip to the Elite Eight and a Big Ten regular season title.
