Buettenback, Sanderson Selected to Northwoods League All-Star Game

Max Buettenback and Case Sanderson have been chosen to represent the Great Plains Division in the Northwoods League All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 23 at ISG Field in Mankato, Minn., with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Buettenback is among the league leaders in the Northwoods League this summer, ranking in the top 10 of six offensive categories. In 30 games with the Willmar Stingers, Buettenback is the league leader with a .442 batting average while ranking second in the league in on-base percentage (.565), slugging percentage (.699) and OPS (1.264).

The Lincoln, Neb., native is tied for fourth with four homers and sits seventh with 38 RBI while recording eight doubles and scoring 29 runs this summer.

Sanderson is hitting .363 at the plate with six doubles and three home runs in 21 games with the La Crosse Loggers. The Nevada, Mo., native has accounted for 50 runs in the 21-game span, tallying 24 RBI and scoring 26 times.

Sanderson has posted nine multi-hit games and has accounted for four-plus runs in seven of the 21 games this summer with the Loggers.
