Five Nebraska softball student-athletes earned academic all-district honors on Tuesday.
Senior shortstop Billie Andrews was recognized as an academic all-district selection for the third straight year. Senior third baseman Sydney Gray was named to the academic all-district team for the second straight season. Both Andrews and Gray will advance to the national ballot and be considered for academic All-America accolades.
Junior catcher Ava Bredwell was also named to the academic all-district team for the second straight season. Senior pitchers Sarah Harness and Kaylin Kinney rounded out the Husker honorees as both players earned a spot on the academic all-district team for the first time in their careers
