The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team ended its season with a 196.600 team score in Session I of the second round of the NCAA Championships in Arkansas on Thursday.
No. 10 Arkansas earned a 197.325, No. 7 Kentucky scored a 197.100, and Arizona notched a 195.600. UA and UK advanced to the regional final on Saturday.
Rotation One
The Huskers kicked off the meet on bars, notching a 49.225 as a team. Kinsey Davis registered a 9.925 to top the lineup, and Spence followed her with a 9.875. Whitney Jencks earned a 9.850 and Emma Simpton posted a 9.825. Clara Colombo (9.750) and Bácskay (9.625) rounded out the rotation.
Rotation Two
NU continued the afternoon with a 49.125 on beam, led by Spence’s 9.875. Sophia McClelland and Jencks each earned a 9.850 – Jencks’ appearance on beam on Thursday was her first of the season. Isabel Sikon and Bácskay both scored a 9.775, while Ayzhia Hall finished out the lineup (9.275).
Rotation Three
Nebraska registered a 49.225 on floor to continue the day. Spence led the team with a 9.900, and Martina Comin and McClelland each earned a 9.850. Bácskay posted a 9.825, and Jencks (9.800) and Halle Rourke (9.725) rounded out the rotation.
Rotation Four
The Big Red concluded the session on vault, scoring a 49.025 as a team. Davis and Bácskay led NU with a 9.850 each – Davis’ was a season-high. Hall and Comin both notched a 9.800, and Sikon (9.725) and Spence (9.200) completed the lineup.
