Nebraska heptathlete and long jumper Till Steinforth was selected as the Big Ten Men's Field Athlete of the Year on Thursday by the conference's head coaches.

The junior from Saxony-Anhalt, Germany is a four-time USTFCCCA First-Team All-American, a three-time Big Ten Champion and owns two Nebraska school records. At the NCAA Indoor Championships, Steinforth captured third place in the heptathlon with 6140 points and seventh place in the long jump with a 25-10 (7.87m). At the Big Ten Indoor Championships, Steinforth went a personal-best 26-2 3/4 (7.99m) on his final attempt of the long jump to win the title and move up to a tie for fourth in school history.

This marks the third year in a row a Husker has won the Big Ten Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year honor, with Jonah Wilson named the unanimous selection in 2023 and Burger Lambrechts Jr. earning the distinction in 2022.
