On the final day of competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Houston, Texas, Kelsey Clairmont finished eighth with a score of 502.75 to secure her bid to the NCAA Championships held March 20-23 in Athens, Ga.
The sophomore from Regina, SK, Canada posted a score of 502.75 for her second NCAA bid as a Husker. She finished 34th on the platform at last year’s NCAA Championships with a score of 214.00.
Freshman Abby Baxter qualified for the one-meter final with a score of 295.70 and a seventh-place finish in the prelims. Baxter went on to finish 17th in the final round with a score of 529.70.
Clairmont will join Gena Jorgenson at the NCAA Championships, who previously qualified in the 1650 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 400 IM.
