Adrover Gallego, Lacasse Advance to ITA Main Draw

Cary, N.C. - Nebraska women’s tennis' Raphaëlle Lacasse and Isa Adrover Gallego advanced to the main draw at the ITA All-American after three-straight victories.

Lacasse and Adrover Gallego defeated Virginia’s Sara Zioda and Margratet Navarro in the first round of qualifying, 8-7 (1). The duo continued their campaign Monday against Portland, as they defeated Iva Zelic and Sally Pethybridge 8-2 and advanced to the Round of 16.

The pair continued their run on Tuesday against TCU, topping Destinee Martins and Isabel Pascual 8-5 to secure a spot in the main draw.

The Huskers will compete in the opening round of the main draw tomorrow as they look to become the first Husker ITA All-Americans since Husker great Mary Weatherholt earned the ITA All-American status in both singles and doubles in 2013, partnered with Patricia Veresova.
