The Nebraska bowling team is set to compete in nine tournaments this season, as the Huskers announced their 2023-2024 schedule this week. NU will travel to eight tournaments and will host the Big Red Invite in February.
The Huskers will kick off their season in Youngstown, Ohio, at the Motiv Penguin Classic, October 13-15, hosted by Youngstown State. NU looks to defend last season’s title as the team finished first out of the field of 14 schools.
The Big Red will then travel south for the Track Kat Klash in Houston, Texas, November 3-5. The following weekend, the Huskers will head to Kenosha, Wisc., to compete in the SFA Jacks Invite.
After a break in December, NU will start competing again January 8-10 in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Stormin’ Blue & White. In this event last season, the Huskers finished third with two bowlers earning spots on the all-tournament team.
Up next, the team will travel east for Sacred Heart’s Northeast Classic in Deptford, N.J., January 19-21. The Big Red will attempt to defend last season’s title where the team finished 13-0 en route to the second title of the season.
NU will then compete the following weekend January 26-28 in Arlington, Texas, at the Prairie View A&M Invite before the Huskers compete February 9-11 at the Flyer Classic in Lockport, Ill., hosted by Lewis University.
The Huskers will close out road competition February 16-18 in Jonesboro, Ark., at the Mid-Winter Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.
To wrap up the month of February and the regular season, the Big Red will host its lone home tournament, the Big Red Invitational, February 23-25.
