Ossi Sweeps Smallbore and Air Rifle Events at Camp Perry National Matches

Nebraska All-American Cecelia Ossi swept the smallbore and air rifle titles at the 2023 National Matches Smallbore and Air Gun competition at Camp Perry, Ohio, over the weekend.

Ossi placed first in the air rifle event with an aggregate score of 249.0, edging Brandon Muske’s total of 248.6. She took first in the smallbore with a total of 456.4, finishing ahead of Jared Eddy’s total of 453.6.

“Cecelia did an amazing job,” said head coach Mindy Miles. “The CMP national matches are men and women competing on the line at Camp Perry Ohio. The wind was a difficult element that Cecelia was able to overcome. Once again, Cecelia showed her strength by dominating the final, she truly shows her strength while under pressure.”

The Camp Perry titles continued an amazing run for Ossi in 2023. She won the NCAA Smallbore title in March and was victorious at the USA Shooting Women’s Smallbore National Championship in June.
