Huskers Earn ITA Academic Awards

The Nebraska women's tennis team has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, announced by the ITA this week. The organization also named five Huskers as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Juniors Isa Adrover Gallego and Vivien Sandberg, and sophomores Lucy Loy, Jillian Roa, and Ana Carmen Zamburek were all recognized for their academic success in 2022-23. It was the second time being recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes for both Adrover Gallego and Sandberg. All will return and compete for the Huskers in the 2023-24 season.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letterwinner and have a 3.50 or higher GPA (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year. To earn the All-Academic Team award, teams must have a combined GPA of 3.20 or higher.
