Seven Nebraska rifle athletes earned Scholastic All-America recognition from the CRCA (College Rifle Coaches Association) this week.
Elena Flake, Madelynn Erickson, Cecelia Ossi, Payton Fry, Mackenzie Strauch, Camilla Johannessen and Emma Rhode were the Huskers that were honored.
"I'm very proud of all of our girls who made the CRCA Scholastic All-American teams," said Head Coach Mindy Miles. "It's not easy being a student athlete, and they are very dedicated to their studies. These team members deserve this recognition."
This marks the third time that Flake and Ossi have been honored with this award, the second time for Erickson, Fry and Strauch and the first time for Johannessen and Rhode.
An athlete must have kept a 3.2 cumulative GPA to earn this award.
