Gena Jorgenson and Kelsey Clairmont wrapped up their freshmen seasons for Nebraska swimming and diving on Saturday at the 2023 NCAA Championships, hosted in Knoxville, Tenn.
In the 1,650 freestyle, Jorgenson broke her own school record with a 16:13.34 to finish 28th. The freshman from Aberdeen S.D., previously set the record at the Big Ten Championships, clocking a 16:13.54 to place sixth.
Jorgenson added a 41st-place finish in the 400 IM (4:18.00) and placed 56th in the 500 freestyle (4:46.43).
Clairmont posted a score of 214.00 on the platform to finish 34th.
Jorgenson closed her freshman season on Saturday with another school record.
