On the mindset of starting and now being back up there again

“It’s a business here playing college football. You are going to put your best 11 out there. They are going to put themselves in the best position to win a football game. You just learn that you don’t take that personally. That’s how it is. Stay the process and be the best supporter of your teammates and the football team.”
 
On how he feels about the season overall and everything moving forward
“We have a bunch of great guys. We just have so much fight in us each week to be able to come out each week and prepare the right way and put our best foot forward. We have a really great team, great group of guys and a great coaching staff. We just don’t stop fighting.”
 
On where he thinks the program is going
“I feel really great about Nebraska and where it’s going. I know there is a lot of uncertainty in areas, but for me right now it’s just focus on each week and each game. It’s one day at a time for us. Our motto is day by day and that’s how we attack things each day.”
 
On what the year has been like for him overall
“It’s been a lot. A lot of ups and downs for sure, but each day you have to put your best foot forward. There is a lot of guys out there counting on you. We have a great fan base here. Despite what you are feeling, you’ve got to just show out.”
