Four Huskers Basketball Players Earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

Lincoln – Four members of the Nebraska men's basketball program were honored Wednesday, as the Big Ten Conference announced its Academic All-Big Ten teams in winter sports.

Derrick Walker, Chris McGraw, Jace Piatkowski and Kobe Webster were the Huskers' honorees this season in basketball. Walker and Piatkowski were both honored for the second time in their Husker careers, while McGraw and Webster both earned their first accolade.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

In all, 62 Husker student-athletes across six sports were honored as part of the winter Academic All-Big Ten teams announced Wednesday.
