Huskers Drop Match to Air Force

Colorado Springs, Colo.- The No. 11 Nebraska rifle team fell to No. 7 Air Force on Monday with a final score of 4,717 to 4,678. They move to 5-5 on the season.

Sophomore captain Cecelia Ossi placed first overall in the match with a score of 1,185. She was joined in the top ten by fifth-year Emily Cheramie in sixth (1,176) and senior Elena Flake in 10th (1,165).

Ossi led the Huskers in the air rifle with a score of 596 and placed fourth, while Cheramie (ninth, 592) and Flake (590, 10th) rounded out the field.

In the smallbore, Ossi scored a 589 and placed first. She was followed by Cheramie (584, fourth) and Flake (575, 10th).

The Huskers will continue their season with the NCAA Qualifiers on Feb. 19 in Murray, Ky.
